Pay Cash

Paying cash for every purchase will make you better aware of your cash position and accordingly you will spend only on the stuff you need most. Spread your monthly budgeted money into four parts and each week pull out money to be used for expenses for that particular week only.

Transfer credit card balance to a credit card with low rate

Ask your bank to lower your interest rate on your credit card. If your bank does not reduce your interest rate on your credit card account, shop around for better rates. Make sure you are well aware about the hidden fees before committing to a new credit card. Some banks also offer zero interest rate for the first few months. Take advantage of this offer and get your finances in order.

Cash Advance

Avoid cash advance as much as you can. Cash advance always come with high fees and carry an unusually high interest rate.

Check your statements regularly

Make it a point to check your statements regulary when they arrive in the mail. Make it a point to notify your creditor right away when you find an entry that is incorrect. Some of the entries may get reported to the credit bureau and you might want to act swiftly and put off the fire now.
