How to improve your credit score and credit rating quickly

When you have a bad credit history, you are not as free to borrow money as you would with good ratings. Anything like late payments, and court proceeding can adversely affect your credit score and leave you in a real mess.

Once your credit score goes down to a certain level, you only have options where your monthly credit payments are higher and your interest is also elevated. The credit companies want their money as fast as they can get it.

Credit Agencies Showing Your Standing
The two major credit agencies used to find out an individual's score are Experian and Equifax.
They have a complete history on each individual and can give you exact debts, court proceedings, and the payment history of the individual. Every new account inquiry is a mark on the record even if you take no money from them. The lender is the one who decides what information on they are looking for and what score you need to have before they will give you money.

Securing Your Information
When a lender says denies your request, you can find out exactly why.
You are able to take a look at your present rating and make changes to the better. You can also spot mistakes at this time. It will not be an easy repair of an individual's credit if it is really bad.

Beginning The Journey
To begin, you need to make your payments on time each month. Call them immediately if you are not going to be able to make a scheduled payment.

Learn the proper way to fill out your application.

Once a year you are entitled to a free credit report to inspect your history and make sure there are no mistakes on it. If there is an account paid and it is not shown paid on the report, you need to fix that.

Make sure any bankruptcy you have that has been annulled is sent to the creditors in a timely manner and to the credit agencies also.

When a lender uses the credit service more than once for running your credit history, you need to let the agencies know. This is unacceptable.

You are also entitled to give your reasons for why you have had a run of bad payment. This is called a notice of correction on the history report to let the creditors know why they are late.

More Help & Tips
Another helpful way to raise your credit rating is to pay off those credit cards and credit amounts as soon as you can and on time. More than one account is useful in raising your credit score but do not over extend yourself and you need to pay them on time when due.

If you have a friend or family member who is willing to cosign for a loan, that would be a big help in raising your credit history. Just be sure they are not disappointed and have their credit ruined if you are not paying.

Be patient and understand that lenders will eventually see how good you have become with your credit and the score will improve.

Once you realize your credit has been denied, stop applying to other places. When a search history has many items on it, it will make your credit worse than before. Talk with the lender before they run the application to make sure you fit all the other requirements first so you will not be wasting your time and credit score.

Some individuals have said they have not used their credit before and have not been approved for credit. Credit lenders are better equipped to deal with those who have some experience paying off their bills than if they have never used the credit before.
